Annual Advent Mini-series

The Macnstrobe Films team is working hard on a Advent calendar-like mini-series. We hope to have the two ready by next Christmas. What we'll do is have 2-3 minute previews of Macnstrobe's Christmas special. On Christmas, the whole movie will be available to purchase, and hopefully, will appear right here.

While half the Macnstrobe team works on UN 2.0, the other is working on 72. We can't tell you what it's about yet, but expect the teaser trailer by Sunday.

On location!

We are on location for UN 2.0. The shooting schedule changed slightly, but we did choreograph everything. Tomorrow (or tonight) we'll run lines. Can't wait to start filming.
I'm here in the hotel with Lou Garrison and Joe Morton. I'm interviewing Lou now.

MM
So (Lou) tell me what parts you play.

LG
Well, I'm going to play Lantz and some of the robots. I can't wait to start shooting!!

MM
So, tell me, why did you want me to write the script?

LG
Well, at first, we were planning on making Mars Wars—

MM
And what was that?

LG
It was about a human VS alien situation and all that.

MM
Yup, and the reason we didn't do it was because it was supposed to be a lo-no film. But when I had finished the script, I realized that we go way over budget on this one.
Any way, Lou, what is the best part about filming on location?

LG
Well, the scenory is great, and the landscape and location itself seems to fit in perfectly.

MM
One of my favorite parts is the hotel. We were lucky enough to get a discount on our rooms, which was great.

LG
The food was insanly deliceous.

MM
And Lou, being the music director for Macnstrobe, do you have any ideas for the music?

LG
Yes. I already have a great battle peice worked out that, with some work tonight, will be ready for tomorrow.

MM

UN 2.0 Promo

UN 2.0

UN 2.0 is the newest short film by Macnstrobe. It will appear in three parts on Macnstrobe TV. Shooting begins next week, and we hope to have it completely edited by the end of the month.

Macnstrobe Press

We at Macnstrobe are excited about our newest project, Macnstrobe Press, which will soon be open for business. MM will mainly write musicals/plays, primarily intended for scholastic use. Max Matthias and our newest Macnstrobe team member, Lance Johnson, are currently working on a Civil War play.

VBS Program

Macnstrobe Films, in partnership with Macnstrobe Media, is creating a Vacation Bible School program. The focus is on the story of Moses, but will be played into a Star Wars theme. To learn more, check out Macnstrobe Media's site, or keep checking back here for updates.

Production Design

The production designers for War of the Great Day are being gathered and pre-production is well under way. We will soon be posting concept art from the movie.

Pre-viz DVD

We hope to send out a pre-viz DVD to churches around the state, for support. The DVDs will contain portions of the storyboard, behind the scenes footage and short scenes. We will also send a portion of the script along with the DVD.

War of the Great Day

War of the Great Day is an end times thriller movie, about the Glorious Appearing of Jesus Christ and everything leading up to it. The movie will begin by explaining what has happened prior to the main action of the movie, such as the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Rapture, and the Great Tribulation, in an opening montage. It then picks up at the end of the Tribulation with lots of action, prayer, and battle.
It is being written and directed by Max Matthias and Bartholomew Antonius, and produced by Edward Cherif (aka E'Chief).
Known angels such as Gabriel, Michael, and Raphael will appear, as well as some angels from the pseudoepigryphal book of Enoch.
Max and Bart are working hard to make the movie accurate with the prophesies of the Bible, but also stay away from anything reminiscent of Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins' Left Behind Series.
Production is set to begin in Summer of 2009 (2010 if need be).

Scripts and Storyboards

Well the script for War of the Great Day has begun. The first draft of almost a quarter of the movie is finished. And now storyboarding has begun. The storyboards are being created as the scenes are written.

Nano Plot

Macnstrobe Films' latest and first project is Nano, a story about an alien invasion. However, this invasion in is unique, the aliens are microscopic. They attack the USA like germs. The Pentagon decides to send nano-bots into the bodies of the victims.
The result is war inside the body!
